CHANGE AGENT TRAINING: Quarterly training top empower members, volunteers, and partners to be agents of positive change through community organizing. Open to any individual.

FAMILY DEFENDERS COMMITTEES: Provide “Know Your Rights” forums, neighborhood watch, and rapid response and deportation defense.

Civic Participation

MINORITY CIVIC NETWORK: Monthly social gatherings in NWA and Little Rock to their neighbors and communities about civic leadership. Are offered two half day trainings per year on running for office.

POLITICO CAPTAINS: Coordinate member participation at town-halls and meetings with Arkansas elected officials and lend strategy and support to issue-based campaigns and coalitions such as:

  • DREAM Act
  • Immigration Reform, fighting anti-immigration reform, 287(g), and the promotion of sanctuary churches
  • Opportunity to Learn Campaign: Access to quality education for all Arkansans
  • Human, Civil, & Voting Rights

VOTE SQUAD: Latino and Asian civic engagement activities such as voting registration, canvassing, phone banking, voter education, and voter protection

Immigrant Integration

NAVIGATORS: Offer support to staff at the Regional Immigrant Resource Centers such as disseminate information on deferred action and citizenship, support data entry fro clients at legal clinics, providers to help immigrants fully integrate into life in Arkansas
